Interview QUestion: Why is Flow measure in Square-root?
Answer: Where orifice plate is used to measure flow alone, the signal is square rooted. it is by the formula Q=K (squareroot of Differential pressure). If other types of FT are used then the signal from that FT need not to be square rooted.
